You live in Las Vegas, and are worried about coming to England?....... I have visited Las Vegas many times, and you need eyes in the back of your head in many places there.

Honestly, you have nothing to worry about, compared to what you are living with right now.

Unless you never leave Henderson of course.......

Don’t think it is as bad as some of these posters are telling you. Way too much emotion with some of these posts and too few facts. America has great days ahead of it unless the socialists wing of the Democratic Party gets power. They are the ones who openly admit they want to destroy America with open boarders, extreme gun control, and high taxes. All we need to do is look around the world to know that is a recipe for disaster.

I will agree that we are short on great leaders. People who actually care about the people, security, and prosperity of the US instead of votes and power. If democrat or republican thinks that most in their party do, I have a bridge to sell them.

What do you think!! If it makes you feel any better all the 10 year old girls in the school down the road have no 'fears' about living in the UK without a gun, if they can do it I am sure you will find that you can do it too!

its probably much the same as the school shootings in the US, it all depends on the location, in London I would be watching my back all the time in case of attack, in my own area any crime of any sort-not just assault- is virtually non existent.

I love reading these opinions. Funny how no one brings up all the groups of people that have been murdered over the last century because they had no guns...........hmmmm

Now.....we may be a "screwy bunch", but notice that no one has tried to do a forced invasion of America. Why? We have the largest armed army in the world.......It's citizens. Just a thought

Yeah right, the Chinese military are all scared of the rednecks and their shotguns! I wonder why China doesn't come and invade the UK if we are so 'defenceless'?? Anybody that thinks 'Joe Soap' on the streets is whats stopping the Russians from invading is living in cloud cuckoo land. The ONLY relevant statistic is that around 30'000 people a year in the US get shot to death, in the UK its around 70!! I'm yet to find a 'gun nut' who can come up with anything that even remotely counters that argument!

Do yourself a favo(u)r and eliminate the 20,000+ suicides if you want to discuss gun violence and gun crime. Suicides have no place in the discussion.

That said, different cultures, different laws, different outcomes. There are countries with lax gun laws that have far fewer gun crimes than the United States, just as there are countries with much stricter gun laws that have much higher rates of gun crime. It's the people, not the laws. Let us send a couple million of our violent gang members to London and watch what happens to your crime/murder rate.

What difference does 'suicides' make? Are there no violent gang members in London? You seem to assume that an 'American' is somehow 'different' to a Britain. Do we also take off the suicides from the UK rates?? At the end of the day 30'000 = bad, 70 = MUCH MUCH MUCH better. Your daft gun laws cause thousands of un-necessary deaths - Simples!

If anybody can come up with ANYTHING that can argue against such one sided statistics it would be a bloody miracle!

So if Americans are such intrinsically violent people, probably they shouldn't have access to guns! We're supposedly a violent society already; why put guns into the hands of these violent people and make it even worse.
