NHS has been having problems with strikes as I highlighted in my thread about COL in Britain.
I guess everyone is seeing how much money is going to UKR, and they are thinking, "the heck, where is my money?", "this is totally unfair, you have all that money for UKR, but cant give me a raise?"
Lots of countries have strikes covering numerous sectors, and this is due to the global economy and inflation caused by increased energy prices, and it's not unique to Britain, nor are health system problems unique to Britain.
In terms of giving money to Ukraine, it's only a relatively small amount when compared to health bidgets or indeed normal annual foreign aid budgets.

Don’t forget the deficit spending during Covid. The US alone “printed” Trillions out of thin air and continues the insane practice.
As for helping Ukraine, that is a bargain investment, IMO.
But much of it is donated surplus equipment that is already sunk costs. Of course it’ll cost more to replace it all with more up to date materiel.
That’s the price we all should pay to stay free from oppression.

That probably trigger people even more. The TPTB had it this whole time, and another country wants it, and gets it; opposed to doing everything they can to help domestic workers even just a little. That would make me mad.
Can you blame them? They are poorly paid and the problems with the NHS creaking under load are not exactly unknown at this point.
They may not be amongst the highest earners but they are not 'poorly paid' either!
