Welcome back SluggoF16! Yes, it is indeed Wilmington, N.C., and the offscreen USS North Carolina had all its guns and turrets turn on you as you approached for the mercy killing of this skyline meme. It was still (stuck in the muck of the Cape Fear River) recovering from Hurricane Florence, and was recently spared the full wrath of a Hurricane Dorian! Took the kids there to visit this past August, while on vacation at Carolina Beach. They got to see a change of guard ceremony at the Coast Guard station across the river, and an NCO promotion ceremony on board the Battleship for our elite Special Forces teams out of Ft. Bragg.

Last year about this time my wife and I were going to visit Wilmington for the first time, but didn't because of Hurricane Florence which trashed the area; we went to Savannah instead and were there all of two days as Michael formed in the Gulf and headed north, ending up two days later in Texas Hill Country. We're still trying to get to Wilmington.
Since I have not yet found a suitable picture-hosting site, with the demise of TinyPic and the expense and TOS of Photobucket, this will have to do.
