The area is surrounded by older neighborhoods with a lot of B and B's. Not really, I am sure you can look up the stats somewhere, but Cedar has a very low crime rate. Not really, there is one local "bar" that has live music several miles from campus and one bar closer. Most go to Mesquite to party. Cedar is a great town, and SUU a great college. It is a "wholesome" lifestyle for the most part, not a lot of partying, lots of hiking and sports activities.
