I go there every summer to care for a relative. You are in for a big suprise. There just isn/t too much appeal. It is a small desolate place with not many shops or gas stations. If you like to hunt and fish, there is the uinta mountains which are close by and beautiful. If you love the outdoors and camping, then you will love the overall area. Roosevelt is a little better and you will most likley do most of your shopping there. the surrounding farms and foothills are scenic, especially in the fall. good luck

I have lived in Duchesne for about 6 years. I see this message was posted in August and it is now January of 2009. Maybe you've already moved here? Let me know how I can help. I can answer probably all of your questions.

The man's already moved there and he made the original post in August so I don't think he's looking at this anymore.
