I have been offered a job in outside of Moab that includes housing so my needs will be met however, my husband will not be moving out to Moab to join me for at least 9 months. He is a qualified mechanic with tons of credentials, I am curious what his chances of finding decent employment in the area might be. Also, I have searched but been unable to find any information of housing rentals in the area. It seems all I can find are vacation rentals. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what rentals run in the area and the types of housing available as he will want to bring his dog out when he comes and we won't be able to stay in my offered housing with the dog. Any help would be appreciated as I won't be able to research the area until my move in two months.

Thank you!

Go to Moab Forum - TripAdvisor
Look for yuccahead and riverpeople, you could pm them for info.
I think there is someone from moab that posts here, you may want to do a search. Good Luck!

I'm currently in Moab, have lived here about 9 years total, left and just came back. I had a house here and sold it and am currently renting a nice place. I have dogs and cats. You'll be better off going direct to landlords than through rental agencies, as they seem to discourage people from renting to pet owners. Google the Moab Advertiser for weekly ads, this is where everyone advertises. Get into a place before about March, as that's when things get tight from the seasonals returning for tourist season. There's not a lot, but you should be able to find something in the $800 to $1200 range.
