My husband and I are thinking of moving to Summit Park but I was wondering about the winter driving conditions. I'm originally from Montreal and we've lived in northern BC, but we've been in GA for 10 years now with no snow. Is a 4X4 necessary for winter in Summit Park, or could I get by with winter tires on my Corolla and 4runner? We were originally thinking of getting a condo in Newpark, but like the idea of having a house so close to Park City - not to mention the views from Summit Park beat the views from Newpark. We're going to be out there this weekend, but I imagine the the driving in summertime is a lot different than in the winter. Any infowould be greatly appreciated!

One of my best ski buddies lives there and even with 4/awd, there are times when he cannot get to his house. There are 4 drivers in his family, all have 4/awd.. If you do not want to go that route, Newpark is as better option and closer to Park City than Summit/Jeremy/Pinebrook etc but, Summit Park has tons of noise from I80 too....and there are alot of foreclosures in Newpark so a good deal may be had!

Newpark is way better. It's kind of a walking neighborhood with easy access to trails, the bus system, movies, a bowling alley, shops, it's way better.

Summit Park is cold, lots of snow, and long long winters.
