Hello All,

We recently visited Vancouver to look at homes in the area. We prefer either urban or rural, but found mainly suburban. We liked the area near the Deaf School, but the one property we liked was sold right after we looked at it.

We just today saw another listing online. It is further out near S. Lieser and 14; Father Blanchet area? Not knowing the area, we are wondering about freeway and airport noise. Any suggestions?

Smile Thanks

StealthRabbit, many thanks for the train noise information. We are relocating from the Midwest with it's very low housing prices and are trying to adjust our expectations to the reality of the Pacific Northwest market. We will visit Vancouver again before making any offers, but hearing from the locals/experts is so important. Thanks! :

Columbia Ridge (Lieser and East) is usually decent too.

need to know more,
Retired?
with kids?
need quick access to Portland or Vancouver for jobs? or airport?
prefer public transit?
Bicycle centric?

Vancouver is a hot market today, but you don't need to BUY at the moment
. I would not get caught up in bidding wars, *My son just lost $7k earnest money to such a manuver near Deaf school.

I buy only rural as I like the lessor competition when I go to sell + I don't do traffic, and I make sure any property I buy for investment, is one I will be willing to live in. LT.

While I don't like renting there are all kinds of other options (house sitting, guest residence...)
