Indeed, today was their last day. Need to find a new Chinese option now.

Unbelievable! I still have a Groupon! Their website makes no mention of closing. I am so sad. I loved that place. Dang!

I spoke to the owner, the Beaverton location will stay open. It's far, but maybe they'd allow you to use the Groupon there.

Yep- that was a quality place. There is a very similar place called Szechuan Chef on Macadam in Portland that I thought was owned by the same folks but apparently not.

So NOW where is the best place in Vancouver for Chinese or Asian food?

Not a fair comparison, but today we are going to try Pho Saigon. My favorite Thai is Arawan or Ginger Pop (owned by the same family). I will keep looking for that best Chinese place, but nothing compared to Taste Of Sichuan. There are plenty of fine Chinese restaurants in Portland, but I want one more local. I have only lived in the area 6 months, so there is plenty to explore.

Chinese food here is pretty disappointing. Now that Taste of Sichuan is gone I will be making occasional trips to Szechuan Chef on Macadam, off exit 298 on 5. Very similar food, especially the awesome hand shaved noodles.

Arawan was really good when I went there, haven't tried Ginger Pop, will add it to the list. I was disappointed in Tang's Wok which was highly recommended to me. Thought Mars Inn, which was also highly recommended, was just OK but much better than Tang's Wok.
