It was a nice day for a hike in the forest. Temps were mild in the 50s with no wind. We had one sun break along with mostly clouds. I love all the shades of green in the PNW which increases as we approach spring.

Sometimes the best sunsets are right after a good rain. Here's tonight's sky which lit our home with color.

It was a nice winter night for paddle on the Columbia with calm winds and colorful skies. These sunny winter days are enjoyable in between the rain bands and provide a glimmer of warmer days to come.

We awoke to a light sprinkling of snow on the ground. Then the sun came out at it was glorious out. I love seeing the sunshine on fresh snow. We've been hoping to get a little more snow before winter fades into spring.

Today was sunny and in the 30s with mild winds. I decided to go for a paddle after work at my of my favorite lakes. The waterfalls flowing into the lake are partially frozen with huge icicles. Some of them were crashing in the water as they thawed. It was fun out there on such a beautiful days with no crowds.

Today was a beautiful winter day on the Columbia. Gotta love sunny, snowy days with no wind. It was perfect for enjoying the a winter paddle. I also got to do some ice breaking on part of the river that had frozen over in harbor. I've been wanting to that ever since seeing those ice breaking ships in the artic.

Today was a perfect 'spring like' winter day in Vancouver. Light winds and low 50s made it very pleasant for outdoor activities. I can't complain with days like this which are a nice reprieve. Overall temps are finally warming up heading into spring.

Today was a gorgeous PNW winter day... almost spring. The sun was out along with colorful clouds and calm winds. I wanted to play hooky from work looking out at it. These are the types of days that help you really appreciate when the rain breaks and you see all the natural beauty we have. Granted it was a long winter. I was able to get out on the lake in the afternoon and it was awesome. There was a bald eagle who decided to go fishing in front of me while paddling.
