Both DH and I have had surgery at Peace Health. Neither of us has any complaints. I’ve been to the emergency room, where I was diagnosed with diverticulitis. With the exception of a snotty intake clerk, I was treated well.

We are from an area with excellent, available health care, and we have adequate insurance along with Medicare. We could choose to go anywhere for care. But the doctors affiliated with Peace seem fine. I visit the Breast Center and the Cardiology practice in the Peace complex.

I chose a Legacy doc for my PCP. She is excellent.

The medical offices here seem very calm to me. People are kind and accommodating in general.

We really, really did not want to be in a situation where our hospital was 20 miles or so away.

I have been to both hospitals. No major complaints with either. At LSC I had a private room. At SWMC I had a roommate.

The one time I went to SWMC my wait to be seen in the ER was less than 30 minutes. Was not a critical issue.

At LSC the ER was really backed up. The second time I went I waited 6 hours to be seen for a non critical issue. The third visit the admitting nurse could not get a good pulse reading so they did an EKG on me. While the nurse was connecting the EKG leads on me she said I was looking at a 4 hour wait to be seen. Less than 5 minutes after the EKG 2 doctors and 3 nurses were tending to me. The doctor was not amused when I told him I drove myself to the hospital.
