Just checking records.

2010 was the coolest summer in 17 years, so 1993 was the one I remember as very cool. Looks like this summer will try and beat it

It's estimated that it'll hit 80 on the 25th.... I've not seen so much rain as 1996 though

Meanwhile here in Phoenix land, it's not going to go below 80 for the overnight low until October.

Who wants 80-degree days? And btw, mid-June is much too soon for that.

June 12th 2019 was 98...... But that's a combination of factors I'm just a tad done with 61-69 highs.....a week of 72-78 would brighten my mood

I can agree to that. But I enjoy those 60-something days, too.

Well, your wish is about to come true. I've actually been enjoying this cooler end of spring mid-June. July and August can be cookers reach 90s/100s. Upper 60s and low 70s are ideal temps for outdoor activities. For hiking steep trails, 50s are actually better than 70s. But here you go. Take a look at the extended forecast for the remainder of June. It looks like that Goldilocks zone where its not too hot or too cold. I just hope its not the end of rain for the summer. Before you know, people will be complaining about the heat. It's always something.

For me there is no more glorious weather than 50-70 degree days with a mixture of sun and clouds. After being in the southwest for 14 years I can't imagine anyone complaining about the cool moister weather in the pnw.

You are not a ditch digger by trade?
Mud in PNW, vs dust and rocks in SW USA, there are downsides to each. At least in PNW you don't sweat so much!

"Cool and moist weather," vs working in a trench and coming home caked in mud every day might be perceived differently by different exposures / daily encounters of 'Cool and Moist".

recreational use of outdoors / climate is far different than living and working outside 16 hrs / day.

Peek-a-boo, the sun is out for a few minutes "Move to the PNW, It's a great (and dry) life."

PNW gets chilly summers about every 7 yrs +/-, at least we are not shriveled up and burning from hot and dry... at the moment (have you already forgot one yr ago?, 2021@ 117F)
