I've been. It's overpriced, crass in the way that half of it is them trying to sell you things after you've paid an enormous price for admission, and it's just all around an overcrowded underwhelming provincial attraction. The only reason Vancouverites go to it is that it's the only game in town for that sort of thing, but if you're from a big urban area elsewhere I wouldn't recommend it. It might be interesting if you don't often have an opportunity to frequent amusement parks because you're from a small town or an rural area, in which case I'd say maybe give it a shot if it's not getting in the way of you doing something really worth while. I mean, it's an okay time, I just don't think it's good value.
Haven't been yet (live a few blocks a way) but man do their rides look like an invitation to death!
From what I hear, the signature mini donuts are good. There are fireworks at night and concerts.
There are coupon codes floating around everywhere for $13 admission tickets online. Even then the price is steep - they'll get you on the parking (horrendously expensive) and food (horrendously terrible). The rides are extremely pricey too. Still there are a handful of decent attractions there - Superdogs, Peking acrobatics, Evolution of Extreme, Pop City and nightly concerts so if you haven't been I'd recommend checking it out and probably taking public transit there (as well as packing a sandwich)
