your vegetarian diet (Whole Foods, meat, animal, eating)

To all the other vegetarians on city-data, I would like to know: how strict of a vegetarian diet do you follow? I try to follow a fairly strict vegetarian diet. I live in a non-vegetarian family, so sometimes it is hard to follow a vegetarian diet, but I try. I really try to avoid eating red meat, poultry, eggs, and gelatin.

I don't eat meat and avoid products from animals when possible. (Meaning when I know about it; I'm sure that I've eaten animal by-product without knowing it.) I typically try to stick to whole foods, but will turn to processed vegan foods at times.

I live with a non-veggie and work with all non-veggies. My social circle includes all non-veggies. I don't find it that difficult to follow my diet.
