1.Do you guys eat gelatin at all, since I think that there are some type of gelatin that weren't from animal flesh, but I might be wrong...
2.Does bubblegums in general have gelatin in them?
3.Why is gelatin used in food(s)?
I just know that many Muslim don't eat food product(s) that has gelatin in them because gelatin could be made from pig(s)!
Gum doesn't generally contain gelatin but some products do. It's much more likely to contain glycerin/glycerol which is made from either animal or plant fats.

This brings me to think of...
Marshmallows!!! I love smores' when I am camping in the summer with vegan gram crackers ... so hard to find. Anyone have any luck?
I did see a bag at Whole foods and from the Endangered Species Choc. website, But... it says from Fish!?!?
otherwise, I read so many labels... so I hope to not eat any gelatin Yuk! I agree that it does sneak up in foods though.
I can't give up my smore addiction and vegan marshmallows are sooo hard to find! I found them once at a flour mill in northern NH, but then I couldn't bring myself to pay the $5. I posted this same problem a few months ago and a couple people recommended some different websites. I haven't checked them out yet. Perhaps searching the Veggie forum for "marshmallow" or "smores" will bring up that old thread.
If you buy them first, let me know how they "puff" up and how well they work on smores! (I will do the same once I buy them.)
I've had a brand of marshmallow 'sauce' that was entirely so sweet it'd make your teeth rot. Pretty disgusting. Here's a link from a store which sells kits to make your own vegan marshmallows, if you're so inclined.
^^ That site also sells "vegan haggis"! Eeeeuuuuwwwwww .....
Yuk! I never even knew what that was!!! YUK!
I am glad that I Never ate the "real" thing. But gross as it sounds I did eat tripe and brain...
Italian family.
but thanks for the Marshmallow link, I actually think I have had those before but not so good for smores...? if I remember right?
Does any source of gelatin come from fish or can it... probably is possible huh?
