Hi,

I am planning to buy a home in Fillmore since it is more affordable than in Moorpark. I have heard good reviews on Moorpark but cannot find any reviews on Fillmore. Do you think buying a home in Fillmore is a good idea?

Thanks,
Clark

Are you commuting? If so, where? Highway 23 south of town through Grimes Canyon is not something I'd want to drive every day.

Fillmore is a nice city, but has a minor gang problem. There are many new developments that look very nice. The downtown is charming. If you ever get a chance to attend the Rail Fest or take the historic tourist train through the orange groves, do it. It's fun. Fillmore is the gateway to the Sespe backcountry.

Fillmore's crime rate is okay. A lot of aggravated assaults, but no murders or rapes for the last info I have. Property crime rate is about 60% of national average.
