First of all, do some research and compare the personal tax rates of VT residents against those of NH.

I would think as a doctor he/she would be more interested in helping people than tax rates.

Honestly, for a doctor your best potential would be at Fletcher Allen, which is in Burlington. It has the only level 1 trauma center in the state. You could also try Rutland Regional or Northwestern Vermont Medical Center. There are also some hospitals under the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Alliance in various parts of the state, but Fletcher Allen would be your best bet.

And bring lots of Doctor friends! In the Rutland region, doctors are leaving in droves. You have an easier time finding a Vet for your dog than a Primary Care Physician!
