They also tend to cross more at dawn and dusk to try to be even more alert at these times.

We saw a moose crossing Route 10 west of Londonderry last summer. Seven years making the ride back and forth and that was the first (and last to date) time.

If the OP comes up through Manchester and takes 10 to 100, they will have a lovely, albeit long, ride.

Also, how is the traffic? Should I be concerned about big trucks tailgating me? Is there room to move over? Do you suggest other routes?

I realize these may sound like "stupid" questions. But I am sure you posters would have good advice. (even if you mock me or make fun, that's okay) I just took a defensive driving class and trying to plan well. Thanks very much!
Danger Moose!! Thier eyes don't reflect light, plus moose have black fur in centeral VT. I worked in a level one trama center emergency room for 5 years. I'd say every other week someone would come in, moose vs auto,, at night, half didn't live long, the other half told me , they never saw the moose,, they just came through the windshield,, airbags don't deploy. Proceed with caution at night.

Flying Moose are a rare breed, be on the lookout. Seriously, moose are taller than many car fronts so when you hit them they will come up the hood into your windshield, hence the flying thing.

I assume it would be the same if you hit a giraffe in Texas although if you car is small enough perhaps you can just drive under them.
