Free lift rides tomorrow, Oct 2nd. I realize it's not looking like a summerlike day tomorrow but I think it will be abit warmer. At the Bush there is a foliage festival celebrating the Weeks Act which formed the National Forest. thanks for this. we went over, a bit late.. we showed up at 4 and they were shutting it down. what a nasty weekend. i am sad for all of the lost business. hopefully this weekend will be amazing. I hiked to the top of Mt Ellen today and you could really not have asked for much better weather. it was beautiful, with sun showers at the top... and the sun beating through clouds against the gold leaves on the way down.

We'll be coming up and over the mountain this weekend to Mad River Glen to pick up our ski pass and maybe take a ride on the single. So far the weather is looking good. But you know how it is here

i always wanted to try hiking from the app gap to lincoln peak.. then take a ride down. the dog probably wouldn't be allowed on the lift (or would jump off ...)!
