We are looking for a nice ski resort to spend 3-4 days > We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 10 and 14. We would like to ski and snow tubing and would like to be i near a nice village
Which do you recommend? Any good lodging advice near the slopes?
Sugarbush, Stowe, Okemo or S Notch ?

Of the 4 I like Stowe the best. The mountain is AWESOME and there is lots to do in town as well. Only downfall is that it is pricy. My second choice would be Sugarbush.
Have you looked into Jay Peak? They have a new indoor waterpark which is supposed to be great. Also has an ice arena. Not much of a town though.

You may want to go with the best snow-making mountain. I am NOT complaining, but unless the trend changes, there is a distinct lack of snow this year!

i heard jay peak sales are up 30% this year thanks to their water park.

Got another inch or so last night maybe. they say a late start equals a late season (or so I think I read on here ha!) so I'm hoping for at least a few big dumps, preferably during the season to bring some people from out of state up to have fun.

Partial to Sugarbush/Mad River Glen here, but I don't think Sugarbush has any snowtubing. Wake up Sugarbush!! We do have a skating rink, never actually been there. There are a lot of nice restaurants and shops I think though. I really do think places need to collaborate to bring different activities for folks who don't just want to ski. Been skiing mad river glen lately, and the skiing is really pretty decent even with little snow making. The warm days softened it up a bit to make it more friendly - yesterday was real soft and I bet the slightly colder but not frigid overnight temps plus a little snow made it even better.

Nice picture, but it really shows how pitiful our winter has been. We were in the mountains today and all I can say is the winter has sucked and spring can't come soon enough.

Its been a pretty good ski season in the northwest though. But ya the southwestern states have not been as good.

Even in a bad year, the Cascades get a minimum of a couple hundred inches. Vermont is about the only oasis of snow for skiing on the east coast.
