Hi. I have been house hunting in the dorset/manchester area and have found a place I really like in East Dorset. Can anybody tell me about it? It seems quaint, quiet, safe, but is it? Is Dorset Elem. school a good one? It seems so from the test scores. Anybody have any feedback about East Dorset as a place to call home? Thanks!

To most East Dorset is just a little general store on Rt 7 tho there is a very small village just east of Rt 7. Not sure what quaint really means, it's very quiet except for the constant trucks driving by on busy Rt 7 and very safe. Isn't the elementary school in Dorset? That's a bit of a drive from E. Dorset over a mountain gap. Dorset is nice and bigger, it's an upscale village featuring the Dorset Country Club and author John Irving.
