I have here a poster in color that I need to scan and print out in color, about 36 inches by 26 inches and cannot find a shop in Middlebury that can do the job. Anyone have any idea where I can go near Middlebury? I can drive there....I just called Staples in Rutland and they can only do black and white.

Call the Middlebury UPS Store. They might be able to help or know who can.

I tried that and they couldn't help me. They said they can't do a large size like my poster.

Your going to have to go to a printing company for getting something that big scanned, there are a bunch in Burlington. I would try Queen City Press. I would also try Light Impressions on Marble St in Burlington. They scan large photographs. If they can do it it will of the highest quality but pretty expensive. Another option is to have your poster mounted so it is perfectly flat, put it on the wall and take a picture of it with a decent digital SLR camera. A print would cost you $20.00.

Depending on the image and your skills, you can use a free program like "posteriza" to create the tiles needed to make a composite poster with your own printer. You also might contact sign shops. They sometimes have access to vinyl sheet printers.

I called Main Street Stationery and they said they can't do this kind of size. Actually the poster isn't a photo print it's more of a drawing in color. I may end up having to go to Burlington but first I will try Lightning Photo. When I was in Texas I went to OfficeMax to scan and print out a poster like this in color but I don't think there is one in Vermont....
