Hopes - It was in the original thought as we are putting a 3/4 bath in down there with the laundry, but then we decided we will eventually build a barn/outbuilding which will also have a bath so the whole "dog mess" thought was relocated to the barn plans.

Of course the funding for said barn is non-existent at this time so it is in the 10 year plan :-)

For now, the dogs can get hosed off if necessary and relax on the deck until dry or by the woodstove.....thankfully we have wood floors, heck the whole place is wood since it is a log cabin.....so it cleans up well from dirty dogs.....so far the max during the season in the cabin for the night was 9 dogs, my wife thinks it was 6 but we always subtract 3 from the real total as a rule of thumb when it comes to dogs in the cabin or beers consumed....

I think it would be more flexible to have the room tiled with a drain in the floor. Then you could hose down the whole room!
