I know Burlington is known for its food & its arts/crafts scene. Maybe a hand knit hat or scarf? Green Mountain Coffee? A piece of blown glass? Handmade soaps?

If they have a dog, they may be interested in Wagatha dog biscuits (all natural), they come in canisters in about 4 different flavors, mine love them (although I found them in NJ, not in VT where they're made).
