I don't know, but I will say that route 100 will take longer than you think. The road itself is actually in very nice condition for Vermont, but you're definitely going to want to check out places along the way. There will probably be times where you will be so overwhelmed with just how beautiful the route is that you will want to slow down and take it all in. And this time of year there are tourists who will be driving slowly. Personally I would book a hotel room in Stowe and make it a two-day trip.

Route 100 is my favorite road in Vermont. It's worth the trip.

Depends on traffic. Rough guess with no leaf peepers - four hours. When I was delivering Ski magazines to the various areas it took a while. Thanks for the memories.

Took that Route many times to visit Grandma. It takes about 3 1/2 hours via Route 7 to Essex.

Google says Route 100 the whole way to Stowe would be 4 hours.

If Google is saying 4, I have to up my estimate to 4.5. I find that it underestimates on the time it takes to drive through towns, and the effects of the village slowpoke.

It does take longer than the 4 hours. I didn't take the whole trip the OP posted, but the portion I traveled to Jamaica took a long time. If I had to figure time from Jamaica to North Adams, It would be over 4 hours from Mansfield to North Adams. The other thing with 100 is there is always some type of construction going on. In Granville there is a stretch that is dirt and gravel because of the road washout this past summer. My friend from HS lives in Jamaica and there is a long stretch of 100 around Jamaica that is being worked on right now.

My suggestion depends on what the OP is interested in. If you want to stop in all the little towns, see the little shops, etc., by all means drive Route 100, recognizing that it's not build for speed.

On the other hand, unlike many states, the views from the interstates in Vermont are spectacular, and they tend to be way better than the views on the secondary roads. Therefore, if you're mostly interested in getting a great look at our beautiful scenery, brightly colored hillsides, and so forth, consider driving the Interstate.

Depends on if you're traveling or sightseeing. You'll see plenty of green mountains in June, and maybe even a few cows! Anything else you're interested in?
