We are looking for a short summer stay(a few nights) at somewhere in VT or NH that will allow us to bring our dog. It has to be near a lake with things to do (hiking, boating, that sort of thing) near by.
I've found a few places. Many are pricey. Does anyone have any good recommendations in either state, or maybe Maine?
Thanks.

The Cavendish Pointe hotel permits pets and it is less than 10 mins away from the lakes region in Ludlow.

another helpful website is the State official tourism site.
The Official Vermont Tourism Site - VermontVacation.com . On the left nav you have the travel planner offering lodging listing. You check cabins/cottage, below you check waterfront and pets. This should help you.
