If Douglas doesn't get the 50% this legislature will give the Governorship to Symington. It'll be close he was polling right at 50% with the change almost evenly split between Pollina and Symington. It'll matter for VTers but is small potatoes compared to the second coming of Jimmy Carter.

Thank goodness she on TV just awhile ago gave it up, so I would assume this means she is completely out. But, then again this is Vt so like in the night of the living dead she could perhaps be resurected. Judging by the way the counties are voting she may just head on down to Windham County to chum around with her cohort Pete Shumlin.

Oh my. Poor thing. Be thankful you didn't have to have your tailpipe inspected.
It was. They had to replace a part of the exhaust pipe that had gotten corroded. I wonder why my mechanics in Brooklyn didn't notice this when they inspected my car in August.

I also had to have my windshield wipers replaced. And I had to have new bulbs on my license plate lights. Until today I didn't even know I had license plate lights. The mechanic said police love to pull you over if they are out.

IMHO I think your mechanic was working on getting future business from a new Vermonter.

As far as the "new coming of Carter" , Mustmove...were you even born when Carter was elected? A rediculous statement.

I was born in 70' so yeah I was around for Carter although I wasn't paying much attention. As for the comparison we as a country are certain to grow[financially] slower under the Messiah. We'll see. It will be interesting to see how he does when the shine wears off. VT went 67% for Obama only state higher was Hawaii at 72%. Hey if his win puts people in a house buying mood I'm all for it.

Revenue, revenue, revenue! Welcome to paradise! Yes, make sure all your lights work and all decals and stickers are up to date. It's only going to get worse as the demand for funds goes up and the local constabulary is expected to bring in the cash. I was lucky in that where I worked as a LEO we were just too busy to worry about trivial infractions and violations, but trust me, I know several LEOs from local jurisdictions here in Vt and the heat is on to write those tickets.

If you want the name of a place that will pass your car nearly regardless of its status, PM me. 5 point exam - They just check the brakes, headlights/taillights, turn signals, mirrors, & horn. If those work, you're all set.

Well, I was. In fact I was almost two years into my first enlistment during the Carter administration. This administration could perhaps prove to be even worse, hope not, but time will tell. Well now we have a commander in chief who if he were try for even a fairly moderate level security clearance, one which I do hold, he would not be granted it due to affiliations and other questionable and actual traits in his background. Not saying that this an absolute indicator of trust and loyalty, but nonetheless it is true, meaning that many folks were and probably will continue not to be eligible for certain positions, while the new CIC will have absolute unfettered access to anything and everything along with his appointed staff. I realize this means nothing to a great many of you, but it does concern me.
