There was a story on WCAX last night about blueberry growers who are having bumper crops in this wet summer so far.

Another crop that has benefited from the wet weather has been the wild mushroom crop. People are finding Chanterels everywhere. Just look under leaves and pine needles.

The past two summers have beem rainy and we have had huge crops both years. The only problem we have seen is that this year we are having a large number of dropped fruit. We aren't sure if it's the amount of rain(much more than last summer) or if it's the huge swings in the temp. Getting into the eighties during the day and then the temp drops into the fifties and low sixties on a good night. We had several nights not to long ago that were in the upper fourties. We never had slugs before. This year they are everywhere. The only good thing so far this summer is that we haven't had to do any control for Japanese bettles. We haven't had one.
