Rutland has Leather and Satin, which sells videos and other items. I think there is a theater somewhere around there, or at least a place to watch video clips, but I am not sure. I was married when I lived there, so naturally my wife would have probably killed me if I attended one of those places.

I read about something pervy going on in WRJ in the same building as the bowling alley but I can't remember what it is...

Who needs adult theatres these days? Get a DVD player and go nuts...:tape

Or use your computer!

WRJ had a strip club of some sort downtown that burned down a few years ago. I think it was near the pottery shop. I don't know if it was rebuilt.

Bellows Falls has a video rental store which literally has a backdoor for the adult entertainment section. We had the kids in the car, turned around in the parking lot when my youngest spied the sign. "What's adult entertainment?"

You obviously have never been in the south or the midwest.

I tell you what, I think it's nice not to see Adult Bookstores, Videos, and so forth. I also like not having bars every where. Hop the fence to NH or NY if you want that...

There is nothing wrong with 'family values.' I am not a prude. Like I say, go online and get your jollies or rent dvds online. I don't want this crap in my backyard..

I say keep this stuff in Congress with the professionals, where it belongs! Hmmm, that worked out to be a pun...

The south is almost humorous in prudishness. The main religions do not allow dancing (great excuse for me since I'm as coordinated as an ox that has eaten a barrel of moonshine mash) and "toys" are not allowed without a doctor's prescription - seriously. There was a court case that went all the way to the Alabama supreme court (where the guys have special dispensation to wear robes). The video stores have protected free speech, but the operators have figured out that they needed TWO stores in nearby cities, so that the people from one city could go to the store in the other city, so they wouldn't be seen except by like-minded folks.

Vermont was never truly prudish, it just kept goings-on very quiet unless you happened to ask the right people. The mentality of silent Cal was especially strong with affairs of the heart (and other body parts).

There's a big one, I think it's called "Montreal". Go about 90 minutes past Burlington, you can't miss it, take a right just after the bridge across a big river.
