The UMD tray door in the back of my PSP does not stay close, sometimes it just pops open. Also, there's a problem with the joystick like when ever I play a game such as Midnight Club or something else the game seems to control itself such as whenever I want to move something in a game like "left" the game console will instead move it(character or object) "right" and I have to fight with the joystick to go left.

The joystick issue sounds like a calibration one. According to the manual, go to System Settings -> System Information. From there, rotate the joystick about 20 times or so clockwise. If that doesn't work, it may be legitimately broke.

As for the UMD door not staying closed, the problem is really dependent upon which model of the PSP you have. On the barcode at the bottom, what model does it say?

For the barcode I can't see it but I do know that this model was made in 2006.

I don't have either PSP in front of me, but I also believe that if you take out the battery pack, it should list the model number there. Either way, is the PSP where you flp the switch to open the UMD Door, or do you just pull it open?

It's the one where you flip the switch to open the UMD door.
