It depends what you want out of it really. I have a 360 and am very pleased with it. Granted it was expensive but it's a next-gen console so the graphics and gameplay are fantastic. The Xbox does have many more games but that's because it's nearing the end of it's life. If you can afford it then I'd go with the 360 if I were you (you can play quite a few original Xbox games on the 360 anyway).

Hope this helps,

boycew02

Check the Microsoft website though because not all of them work. They release updates every other month or so which enable more and more back-catalogue games to work and you can simply stick the update on a blank disc and put the disc in your machine. It's not difficult though which is good because I'm not the most technically minded person and if I can manage it I'm sure you can.

You can click on the link below to see which games will work.

I had X Box, and now, I currently have 360. If I were you, I would buy 360, plus it has achievements that X Box didn't have. 360 is more expensive, but it's worth the money. Not only that, you can buy some used 360 games to save money. None the less, there are a lot of good games for X Box 360.

I have 75.00 dollar gift card to help me buy the xbox 360. You wouldn't believe how many people are selling their xbox's for big money for some reason on a local free ad posting site. Some of the xbox's I have seen go up to 200.00 or more in price.

Thank you all for the information. John

yea 360 is defintely worth the extra $. the graphics are hot and the xbox live is sick. i would recommend going to gamestop for all your 360 stuff, they always have some cheap games and accessories to start you off.
