I used to buy every new MSFS that came out, but there really hasn't been a good one in years.

It's kinda sad, but I think the Google Earth Flight Simulator looks better than FSX (minus the lack of actual planes or weather effects, anyway).

I've really enjoyed FS2004. I find FSX disappointing in its performance.

I have FSX but my poor CPU cant handle it. I had put in over 200 hundred hours atleast into Flight Simulator 2004. I spent days getting the most realist AI traffic possible and making it run smoothly. Dont know what happened but my interest in it has vanished for the most part.

I still can't believe Project Open Sky and IFDG are no more.

If you want good AI traffic, avoid Project AI and get World of AI. If you have the time (lots, and I mean lots) doing it yourself is worth it and has amazing results. Another route but really hard to find and illegal, Adobe AI traffic was the best all in one packages you could get. Blew the paid traffic packs out of the water.

MS is coming out with a NEW Flight Simulator in 2012. Check Google. But I wish they also came out with a new Flight Combat Simulator 4 - updated and better than FS3, which was fun and good but now it's way outdated.

I used to sim years ago while flight training, but have long since given it up. However, I have friend who likes military flight sims, and he showed me this one he recently got. I was floored at how good it is. Not sure if military sims interest you but if so check it out.

DCS: A-10C Warthog

Also here's a couple youtube videos of it. There are a bunch of other great videos also if interested.
