I don't recall seeing a thread about this, but I'm all over the interwebs so maybe we have a thread about this already.
What game are you addicted to and why are you addicted to it?
I'm addicted to Space Engineers (<-- link brings you to steam page) because it's a space building game. You might roll your eyes and say "aurg, space games are so lame!" and I would completely agree with you, except on this game. You get to custom build your very own ship and I'm not talking about selecting features from a list and having the game generate a ship for you. You build a ship block by block, you can make the ship look however you want it to. You can create small ships or huge ships, transport ships, or mining ships.. etc etc. You can even build space rovers! which is really awesome. You can build your own space station too which you can create your own gravity field so you can walk around building said ship / rover. You can mine meteors for materials to build things on your station, or build a ship... It's so hard to explian, the game is extremely fun and the best part is that it's still in Alpha / Beta / Early Access!
I've never had this much fun in an early access game.
Borderlands 2. The Badass Rank system is super addictive and I've been neglecting Watch Dogs in favor of it. This game still has a lot of players online for a game that is many years old.
Mount and Blade:Warband. I think half the fun is figuring everything out how things work in the game, and then once you start getting the hang of it there's just so much you can do. An RPG, RTS, hack and slash all in one, whats not to like.
I've learned through the years to balance my BF play. Play one game mode until you get bored, then jump to another. The Obliteration and Carrier Assault have been a blast.
New DLC's have been great too. Dragons Teeth out today!!!
Call of Duty is complete and total garbage for the ADHD crowd. I play it here and there when I need a shooter fix. Madden 13 is long in the tooth and there aren't many people online with that title anymore. My 360 spends most of its time on Netflix and Amazon.
I'll invest in a PS4 here in the coming months, as there are a boatload of games I'd like to get. Just off the top of my head is Madden 15, H-Hour, Rainbow Six, Watch Dogs, and The Division.
these. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are the best video games ever made. period.
But Battlefield 4, especially on the PS4, is the best FPS I've ever played. so much fun.
I haven't played BF4 for at least 2 months on PS4, too busy and finally just got to fed up with the lag and rubberband. Did they fix those issues?
Currently no game addiction, I traditionally play a game once to the scripted ending and don't go back to it. But BF4 would have been it.
