I was explaining to my brother's kids about Myst and wondered if there are any games similar to it?
It was kinda the Rubik's Cube of computer games back in the day.

I looked up Myst and see there is a re-rendered edition that was released this year. But any new games which are like it? exploration/puzzles but with atmosphere.

NB: Incidentally, NPR does a segment on music for video/pc games and recently had the folks from Myst. The few clips brought back memories of how well the setting was done.

Have you tried Might and Magic The Mandate of Heaven? It's a 1990s FRPG. It has some puzzles. Not modern but a good game.

You'd probably enjoy Shivers and Shivers 2, or any of the point-and-click adventures Sierra put out in the 90's.
