Breath of the Wild has major inspirations from a game called Red Ded Redemption and Skyrime and many other previous Zelda games a huge part of Wind Waker is utilized in it's combat scheme. Wind Waker can technically be Breath of the Wild Junior Edition as it's also open world once past the first bit you can sail practically anywhere!
