Sure, games offer more bang for the buck — but 60 bucks is a lot these days.

For 60 bucks, you get 400 TV channels for a whole month. You can buy three cases of Budweiser. Or, you can buy one video game.

Will you keep paying top dollar for games? - On the Level- msnbc.com

I don't mind paying top dollar for quality games that work the way they are supposed to. It's paying top dollar for buggy late betas that bothers me.

I dont think any game is worth $60. Except for Final Fantasy.

I think $60 is overpriced, especially since most of the games developed are crap. Very few titles are worth that price. What bothers me even more is with the online stores that sell additional downloadable content for additional fees.

The only game I've paid $60 for in this generation is Metal Gear Solid 4 - everything else I have bought used or when it dropped in price.

I think $45 or maybe even $40 would get more sales.

The only game I bought for top dollar was Little Big Planet.
I am buying MLB The Show 09 too probably......I could wait a few months...but for what? A sale on a used version for $45? Might as well pick it up new.

I doubt prices will drop anytime soon.
