Hey Everyone. I currently live in Buffalo NY with my fiancee. We're looking to get out of Buffalo ASAP because the job market is dwindling at a horrific rate and we have had no luck finding a steady, good paying job in the last 2 years since my fiancee lost her job at a group home. We're looking for the best, affordable places to live and have a good future in VA. We have tried all different websites to find info about this topic and the regiment of apartment finder websites as well.. oh and i was wondering what electric and gas bills are like in VA in NY theyre OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

We aren't too concerned about school districts or anything like that yet. We are just looking for the following...

- A 2+ bedroom 1+ bathroom home for rent / rent to own (not an apartment.. although maybe a townhome would be okay)

- Must allow PETS bc we have 2 dogs(a 90 pound yellow lab and a 50 lb mix) and a few cats.

- A nice sized yard with a fence(preferably)

-A good safe neighborhood , a good distance away from city hassle and crime but in an area where we wouldnt have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest store and/or job.

-And of course last but not least... somewhere within our price range we're looking to spend anywhere up to $700/month

Thanks to whomever reads an helps us.

Hello, where in virginia are you looking to live? We are a state not one big city. Overall you will find a resonable cost of living, except for Northern VA near DC. Utilities will run lower with most complex's including water/sewage & gas if applicable.

Be careful the writers on the Buffalo site don't find out you want to leave...lol. They think Buffalo is nirvana and anyone can make it if they want..lol
