Hello All

We'll be on a road trip later this summer and I was trying to find out how well I can expect my cell phone to work.

We'll be driving through various areas of Virginia & Washington DC and then into PA.

Is coverage pretty good in the state?

coverage is pretty good, but there are some areas w/out towers. You may go analogue. The street I live on has no tower anywhere near...LOL my reception is ok, seems to be getting better. I live sort of in the city, outskirts really, but just a half a mile up the road my reception is fine.

Coverage is pretty good, just make sure to update your phone... 228 is it?

I have never had any problems with Verizon in the state of Virginia. You should be fine!

Most of the area around the blue ridge parkway is lowsy for reception. If around Lynchburg, avoid long conversations because they borrow towers and the time you're charged for can be exagerated. (was doubled for me)

Verizon service in NoVa will be stellar...but quality of your call can also depend greatly on the phone you're using too.
