I am currently on my last semester of college and when I am finished I would like to move to the south somewhere between D.C. and Florida. I am from Connecticut so I have almost no knowledge of this area. I am in my early 20s so I want to be somewhere with a good nightlife, bars etc. I definitely want to be in or just outside of a city and on the coastline. What are the best cities in Virginia that meet this criteria and if you have any knowledge of GA, NC, SC, how do they compare? Thanks so much.

The best place to live is the place that offers you a job. You give no indication of what kind of employment you would be seeking. That being said, the only real urban area near the ocean would be the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Everything else is several hours, unless you include being along the Chesapeake Bay or a river.
