We have just moved from Minnesota to Virginia yesterday. My wife will be working in Georgetown and I will still be traveling to work for Minnesota for four days in a week.

We also have a four year old son who will be going to pre-school. Having heard some nightmarish stories about the traffic here, our priority is for us to stay in VA as close to her workplace as possible so that her commute isn’t long. The list of places that seem to fit this criteria the best are Arlington/Vienna/McLean/Falls Church. The decision of the town we end up living in is dependent on where we find a good pre-school for our son. I would appreciate it if someone on this forum can help us with names of any good pre-schools. We don't mind paying a little over the average amount as long as the school is good.
If there are other cities as well that we can consider if those cities have good pre-schools and are a little further out, please advise us on that.

Thanks

Welcome to Virginia, specifically Northern Virginia. If you haven't already, repost this in the Norther Virginia forum and I know you will get more responses there.

By the way, please don't laugh too hard at the first drops of snow around here when everyone goes into a panic.
