hello everyone i am looking to relocate and was hoping you can guide me in the right area. i am looking for a rural (small town in the 200's) area with land (around 10 acres give or take) low taxes,good schools,low crime,and some were not real far from work (i am a carpenter) is work hard to find?? I would like to be near the mountains. not sure what area to start looking in. thank you for any help..

You should look at Grayson County. This is one of the most sparsely populated areas in the state. It's a county of 600-700 square miles with only 16,000 or so residents. Work as a carpenter should be doable, but don't expect everyone to beat down your doors. You will need to do some networking and a little advertising. Land is cheap there and the people are friendly. You will not be disappointed with the mountains and nature in that area. You have a few very small towns... Independence and Fries come to mind. Also Comers Rock and Elk Creek. You also have a little place called baywood and the last place I can think of would be Mouth of Wilson. Let me know if you have any questions as I'll be happy to answer what I know.

thanks Steven for your help.. i was also looking into Campbell county buy i can not find any area (looking on realtor.com) for a home that has land(@ least 5 acres).most are small lots any ideas? where else to look?
