We're considering a move to Williamsburg, VA, and are wondering about the suitability of the area called New Town in Williamsburg for retirees. Are there mostly young families or just younger folks living there? We certainly would welcome diversity, but would not want to be the only folks with gray hair. The idea of no yard work is appealing.

You may want to post this in the Hampton Roads area subforum.
Good luck.

New Town doesn't seem that young to me. I haven't spent much time in the residential parts but the shopping areas have a fairly large percentage of senior shoppers.
