Does anyone know of any places in southern Virginia where you can rent land outside of a mobile home park for your owned mobile home? We are tired of dealing with all the drama that goes along with living in one. We both have great jobs and could maybe even buy a small parcel of land if a payments option was available.

Exactly where do you need to be for your jobs? I have never heard of land rental outside of a park, but I could suggest where to look for a land parcel to purchase. The parcel should have water septic and electricity in place, otherwise you would have a lot of expense to install them. For example, here are two acres in Farmville for under $20K with owner financing, and they allow a doublewide.: http://www.landwatch.com/default.asp...6843;361,84082

Landwatch has other listings for under $15K in Brunswick County.

Thanks for the suggestion! It needs to be in central Virginia, near Prince George/Hopewell/Colonial Heights.

All I can suggest is placing an ad on Craigslist say that you wan to rent land. I have seen a few others from people offering up to $300/per month.

Otherwise, I suggest saving money until you can afford to buy a parcel with all the utilities in place.
