Can anyone speak to how tough a reverse commute from Leesburg, VA to Martinsburg is driving-wise on a day-to-day basis? I'm moving from the metropolitan Northeast, would be renting an apartment and from my basic research it seems as if the Leesburg area has apartment complexes similar to what I have now. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Generally not that bad. Rt 9 should be the shortest route and likely 45 minutes or so in rush hour. Maybe a few less or more. You have a couple other routes that might take a few extra minutes but if truly a reverse then not too bad at all. Have you looked in the Winchester area?

Thanks - really appreciate the help. I've done some basic research into Winchester and thought Leesburg offered more apartment options, but I honestly am not wedded to Leesburg by any means and would consider it.

Leesburg may be a "higher class" by some standards but Winchester most certainly has many good qualities. Not sure on which one has the most or best apartments.

Why not rent in Martinburg? We are renting a 3 bedroom 2000 + sq foot home for 1150.

Fastest route is state route 9 to WV line, the route number stays 9 when you enter WV. But there are a few chokepoints on that route in the Hillsborough area.

But like the other poster said, why not live where you work? Martinsburg is obviously much cheaper than NoVA. You'll be saving so much if you don't have a 45 minute commute, as well.
