So Im new to this forum so I did answer some of the questions from another post. Basically I'm just ready to get out of NC. I'm just looking for a new environment outside of NC and the South period. Also looking for more job opportunities as well. I have a B.S. in Public Health Edu and currently working on a Masters in Health Care Administration. I have a 3 year old daughter and it will just be us. I have a friend that lives in Ashburn so I would prefer to be close to her because she'll be the only person I know in the area. I just really need some help on where to start this process.

When are you moving? Maybe 6 months no definite date
Where are you coming from? Henderson, NC, small town. But I've lived in Raleigh which is a major city in NC
Why are you moving? Seeking better opportunities as far as a job and new scenery.
Where will you be working? Haven't found a job yet. But will be looking in the Health Care Field
Have you been here yet? Yes, I have a friend that lives in Ashburn, VA.

Will you buy or rent? Rent
If renting, are you looking for an apartment, a townhouse or loft? How much can you spend? Will be renting and looking for a 2 bedroom
Do you prefer hi-rise or walk up? Depends on where it is, etc.

Are you married or single? Do you have children? Single with a 3 year old
Do you prefer public or private schools? Public is fine
Are you keeping a car? Yes, one car.
What do you want to be closest to? Work, Basic services (supermarket, drugstore, etc.)

You should post in the Northern Virginia area for more responses. I do not recommend moving here without a job, as the job should then dictate a location to live. You will want to minimize your commute as much as possible.
