The Williamsburg Pottery Factory was revitalized or rebuilt several years ago. We have noticed there are very few customers and the stores seem to always be empty. A few years ago, we read about the development of a possible Theme Park or Water Park on the property. Have there been any updates on this? It's hard to imagine the shops will survive with such little customer support.

The owner took a well loved eclectic institution and changed it into a cookie cutter duplicate of most of the other attractions in the area, is it any wonder that the place is always empty....

I saw it shortly after the big renovation and just shook my head.

It was eviscerated. Everything that made it special was stripped away. Such a pity.

That's what we thought. Without business, I can't imagine what it will look like in 10 years. And it's hard to believe Williamsburg would add another amusement park especially on Rt 60. Or, that the people who live in Colonial Heritage would not protest an amusement park loudly.
