Can anyone help me try to figure out what community has better schools and a safe environment? I am trying to narrow things down a bit here, I am considering Clifton Forge, still here, maybe even Covington, where my husband will be working.

The commutes I know nothing bout, I do know that the interstate 64 takes you to Lexington and we are thinking that road to commute on might be clearer in the winters here.

Please feel free to PM, I appreciate your help, I can use any you can give and I fully appreciate all the help everyone has given me so far!

Blessings to all!
PPN

if you need a good hospital, stay away from Lexington. Our hospital is a "band aid" hospital and the more serious stuff goes to either Roanoke, an hour away, or AMC which is closer but still a good drive away.

Have you considered White Sulphur Springs, WV? Haven't been there but I hear it's beautiful and with the Greenbrier Sporting Club, an airport, and so on, it's bound to have very good healthcare resources. Of course having Greenbrier may be pressuring home prices up, up and up but it's not 30 minutes from Covington.
