Hiya,

Me, my husband and 3 children would like to move to somewhere in Virginia.
We're looking for a family friendly neighborhood with houses around $1,000,000 with good schools.

Does anyone have any suggestions of nice areas?

Thanks!

I think you're going to need to be a little more specific. Do you want to be near the beach, the mountains, DC?

Anywhere, we don't mind as long as its less than an hour and a half away maximum from Washington as that's where my husband is working.

The beach or mountains aren't important, just anyway nice really

You'll probably get more responses in the Northern VA forum. That should cover most of the areas in VA 1.5 hours from D.C.

Is this a serious question? If you are spending $1,000,000 on a house, the schools will be good in that neighborhood. If you are looking in Northern Virginia I would suggest McLean, the Langley school district is top notch.

I was going to suggest Fawn Lake in Spotsylvania. Gated community with large lots, lots of kids and a beautiful clubhouse/pool complex.

From where are you moving?
