Hi all, I stupidly got a hotel on Priceline for next week (Doubletree on Colesville Rd.) The hotel has no parking for vehicles over 6' 2". I am working for the Evil Empire and am driving a van bucket truck.(10') I looked online and found some lots within a few blocks. Will I be able to park my van in one of these lots overnight without getting a ticket or towed, or find a legal spot on the street nearby. Thanks for any info.

You might want to call the local law enforcement and ask them if it is allowed. You definitely do not want to be towed also if those lots are privately owned it may be another issue altogether. Maybe call the hotel you have reservations at and ask them for any information they may have about parking areas.

What is the "Evil Empire?" I missed the reference...

Anyway, there are various parking garages downtown and parking underneath different apartment buildings... maybe those are possibilities?

Well I ended up parking on Cedar street about 2 blocks away with no problems. There was always some spots available between six and eight PM. I didn't get any tickets. The spots were posted 2 hour parking 9-6 with meters.

Oh, I just found a spot in front of the garage near Whole Foods, butted up against a new apartment building, no signs, no meters. Very odd but I park there all the time.

Was going to recommend cedar between Colesville and Georgia (it curves). I always see the tour busses from the hotel parked there.
