But I guess arguing on this forum is worthless. I'm just impressed most of the people here can read.

Trust me if Alexandria is sooo great PG nor the National harbor would be the last thing on your mind lol. Yes Prince Georges county has better options for kids grade 1-12 then Alexandria and has better park and recreation department by miles, and I would wager better amenities as well. But what do I know, I barely cross the river and when I do its not to go to Old Town LMAO

As hopeful as I am for NH/MGM/Tanger, the transportation in and out is outrageously retarded. They tore up Ox. Hill road to put in three roundabouts? Brilliant.

They should have planned a set aside for a kiss and ride and 50 year plan for a rail connection.

The plan for the roundabouts was set in place about 10 to 15 years ago. Essentially they were put there to decrease the number of accidents. There was an option to expand OHR but the residents at the time shot that down. There is already a kiss and ride off across from the National Harbor and their is a plan for rail connection in that area that has been on the books for a while. There is speculation that it may come soon through a public private partnership but no confirmation on that yet.

Looks like Harringtons Pub is splitting up into 2 Restaurants(Harringtons and a national franchise BBQ joint).

No I don't but my guess, barring no negotiation issues, will be around the time that MGM opens or shortly there after.

Do not know the restaurant, I spoke to the excavating team yesterday. Also, they are doing some new redevelopment near American way. They are tearing down the goodies cream shop for now.

Cool. It will be interesting to see what goes live over the next 12 months. I was told that they will be building a parking garage at Tanger to accommodate the excess traffic predicted from MGM. It will als be interesting to see what goes on the land surrounding the MGM complex. I remember on the master plan used to have the plots available near OHR as a gas station, a retail strip and commercial building. Would be interesting to know if that changed or not
